Before setting up Gulapa Law, Aris was a partner at a Makati-based law firm from October 2011 to September 2015. Previously, Aris worked at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan; Kelvin Chia Partnership (Singapore and Vietnam offices); and Anderson Mori & Tomotsune (Tokyo office). He also worked as research assistant to Harry First, former head of the Antitrust Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General of New York. Aside from being recognized by Chambers & Partners, Asialaw Profiles, ALB, IFLR1000, and Legal500 as a leading lawyer in commercial transactions, he has been named by Vantage Asia as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines for three consecutive years since its inaugural rankings.
